At the indicated time, we'll meet at Stadhouderskade 550 in Amsterdam to begin a charming Christmas cruise through the city's iconic canals. We’ll step aboard a beautifully decorated boat, with twinkling lights and festive decorations, setting the perfect tone for this magical experience.
Amsterdam’s canals, a UNESCO World Heritage site, are particularly breathtaking during the holiday season. As we glide along the tranquil waters of the Amstel River and through charming canals like Singelgracht and Oudeschans, we’ll pass under picturesque bridges, all twinkling with festive lights.
Along the way, we’ll encounter some of the city’s most historic landmarks, including the towering Montelbaanstoren and the striking NEMO Science Museum, both beautifully illuminated by the warm glow of Christmas lights. We'll also cruise past Amsterdam Centraal Station and along the scenic Prinsengracht canal, where we’ll see the Anne Frank House.
During the cruise, we’ll listen to a captivating Christmas tale through an audio guide that blends modern and traditional elements, immersing us in the spirit of the season. For the little ones, we have a kid's version of the audio guide, as well as a booklet.
To put the cherry on top, we’ll be served a glass of Glühwein, a spiced mulled wine, or a rich, creamy hot chocolate topped with whipped cream. Paired with this, we’ll savour a slice of traditional Dutch boterkoek, a buttery cake that perfectly embodies Dutch holiday flavours.
After a total of 1.5 hours, our cruise will come to an end back at the starting point. Happy holidays!
